LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Male High School dispatched Lexington Bryan Station for its eighth consecutive victory last week. The Bulldogs won easily, 57-28, which was good enough for Male to retain six first-place votes in the WDRB High School Football Top 10.

But not all seven first-place votes.

Blame (or credit) the computer formula at MaxPreps.com. By defeating DeSales, unbeaten Christian Academy jumped over Male in the MaxPreps poll.

CAL jumped six spots in the MaxPreps poll to move to third in the state behind top-ranked Covington Catholic and No. 2. Frederick Douglass High in Lexington. Male slipped from third to fourth.

The Bulldogs have their chance to gain more juice Friday night when they host St. Xavier, which is ranked 14th in Kentucky by MaxPreps.
